Met some colleagues for dinner here. We shared a number of plates. Okra, chicken, salad, corn cakes and baked Alaskan. Loved all of it! Staff are prompt - it's in the name of Hustle. And they do! Neat little place with a back patio. Would definitely go again.

Came here on a Friday after booking reservations weeks earlier on a whim and forgetting about it. I had been utterly excited to try this place for a while, and it was 100% worth the wait. I'm liking the revival of mid-century modern decor in restaurants I've seen popping up, and it would definitely make a great date night destination with the dim lighting and good soundtrack for the night. Skipped cocktails and shared a bottle of sparkling rose wine and it went perfectly with the expansive variety of menu items we sampled. The dishes are rather small, so I would recommend tapas style with your company. Every thing was amazing. Every. Single. Dish

American tapas well done. Upscale place, small dishes. We had many things to share, notable was the branzino which was cooked to perfection! The other thing was a salty cheesecake desert (parmesan with black pepper honey), which was very interesting to try. Not for me, but I loved the innovation as I love cheese cake.

This place has been on my list for a minute and it did not disappoint. Everything we tried was good. Top thing is definitely the cheeseburger. Super juicy, flavorful and filling. Also loved the croquetas. The Nancy cakes were a hit for sure. We also had the dumplings which were ok but not a fave for me. The wings were interesting. Very salty and i would recommend getting a bread to go with the sauce. Overall great experience.

Although we've been to Nancy's Hustle 8 times since my last review I think it is time to update my review. Still 5 stars, the quality of the food, to the friendly knowledgeable service to the quaint dining room, Nancy's is truly one of our favorite restaurants, not just in Houston, but anywhere. The way they are constantly working in new dishes, but keeping old standby's on the menu is the way we like to dine. Last night we started with some awesome dark sourdough bread and roasted and marinated eggplant. One of my two favorite eggplant dishes ever, and the bread was the perfect foil to mop up the remaining marinade on the plate. We then had the dumplings which we always get whatever dumpling version is on the menu on each visit. These came with a great sauce of dill & sauerkraut. We also had one of their staples - the pancetta and parmesan croquettes which was our first time trying this dish. Very savory, but not overly heavy. For our mains we had the sourdough capellini with crab and the ribeye. The pasta was excellent, but was blown away by likely the best ribeye I've ever had. Truly phenomenal. Nancy's can teach some of Houston's high end steakhouses how to cook a ribeye. And the fermented chile beurre blanc sauce was so good. I ate the leftover steak for lunch today which probably sealed the deal on updating my review. Even reheated it was awesome. We had a delicious cookie, and the only dish that didn't meet our expectations was the Honey Toast with peaches. It just needed more of the meyer lemon anglaise sauce. Still one of the best meals we've had in a while. Thanks Nancy's Hustle and to Heather our excellent server.

First visit to Nancy's Hustle, we arrived at 8:00 PM for our reservations and were seated immediately. The place was packed and had a line waiting, so reservations on a weekend are a must. We need a little guidance from our server Heather, and she was excellent in guiding us through the menu and suggesting items for us try. We started off with the chilled oysters which were nicely marinated and very cold; only 4 oysters per order, so with four of us, they didn't last long. At $17 for 4 oysters, I think we'll save our oyster appetite for the seafood restaurants. Next was the Nancy Cakes, which I understood to be one of their signature dishes and they held up to the reputation. The cakes were light and fluffy with not much flavor until you added the butter laced with chives and roe. Definitely would order this again, but probably isn't enough for 4 to share as there were only four cakes ($19). We also tried the Jimmy Nardello peppers ($12) with tahini vinaigrette. I enjoyed the peppers, but the tahini sauce had too much vinegar. I'm a big fan of tahini, but the vinegar threw it way off. I was expecting something like shishito peppers or Padrón peppers, but the Jardello peppers weren't close, they were long and thin compared to the others. Wouldn't order them again. Since we'd been out since lunch wandering around EaDo, our appetites weren't up for heavy entrees, so we decided to share the Wood Grilled Chicken and an order of fries with aioli. The chicken was moist and tender, but two of us at the table didn't care for the sumac flavor. The chicken got a split vote at our table. I generously gave Nancy's Hustle it four starts (would have given it 3-1/2 if possible) due to the service, ambiance, and most of the dishes. To keep those four starts the next visit will need the selection of dishes to "overwhelm" me.

Oh Nancy's. What a treat you are. The place is super cute inside. Smaller and quaint. We got there right at opening and everyone was piling in. I'd suggest to get there at opening or make a reservation as it filled up quick. Our bartender (I believe he is a Bostonian- don't recall his name) was friendly and attentive. He made some great drinks. We ordered the following Nancy Cakes- absolutely Devine. They were savory and the butter made it sweet. 10/10 Lamb Tartare- it needs some seasoning. It was unique and the texture was fine but it was flavorless. 2/10 Smashed Cucumber Salad- dammit, slap your momma. The flavor and the texture were on point. It's healthy & great. Something you could eat daily and be sated. 1000/1000 This place is definitely a staple and I'd 1000% recommend

I love Nancy's Hustle! I've tried it out a few times a few years ago but hadn't had a chance until recently to visit again. J and I stopped by on a Saturday evening. We regrettably forgot to make a reservation but thankfully were accommodated after only a 15 minute wait. We both opted for cocktails to start off our night and found them light and refreshing. Our server was very helpful in recommending menu items for us to try. We decided on the spiced pork and butter dumplings to start us off. When they came out, we were pleasantly surprised by the rich, creamy taste. We polished them off quickly and waited with excitement for our entrees. The lamb tartare was succulent and delicious. We adored the rich taste of the dish and the combinations of flavors was perfect. Finally, the cheeseburger. I did not find the cheeseburger quite up to par with the unique tastes of the other dishes, but it is also a cheeseburger. I liked the bun used and found the dip for the fries very tasty. All in all, this is a great spot for a date night or casual dinner with friends. The setup of the restaurant is very inviting and cozy, and the food is impeccable. I will definitely be back, though probably for another special occasion due to the price range.

Cannot believe it took me this long to finally try Nancy's Hustle! This is a great date night spot or a nice place to catch up with a friend over awesome food. There's also a bar which would be perfect for solo dining. The service is fantastic, our waiter was very helpful and attentive. The menu rotates, so you can try new things every time you come. Everything we tried was excellent. Notables include the croquettes (so crispy and savory, perfect amount of cheese) and the classic Nancy cakes (fluffy and buttery). There's a great cocktail selection and dessert menu as well. There's a small parking lot, but street parking is plentiful. Can't wait to come back to try more items!
